Glenn Walker

Glenn Walker

Glenn joined the club in 1997 when he moved to Tatura for work.  Prior to that he had played cricket for Wedderburn.

In his first season he settled in as a lower order batsman in the A Grade side and promptly won a premiership in his first season.  Glenn quickly made a mark at the club and was recognised with captaincy roles in A Grade and B Grade.

Glenn captained A Grade for 3 seasons which included the transition from the KDCA to Cricket Shepparton. He led B grade for 5 seasons which included regular finals including a B Grade premiership.

Off field Glenn is well known for being one of the first to put his hand up when there is something to do around the club.  This has included coaching junior teams for 4 seasons which included several premierships.

The two major roles he is best known for is as club Secretary and Curator.  Glenn has had two stints as Secretary which have added up to 10 seasons so far, which is the longest period one person has performed the role in the clubs history.

As curator Glenn has spent countless hours on both grounds preparing wickets which are the envy of clubs around the region.

His hard work as Secretary and Curator has contributed greatly to the club enjoying great facillities that are a far cry from what we had at the time Glenn joined the club.
