Rohan Forster

Rohan Forster

Rohan first joined the committee in 1990 as an 18 year old and promptly volunteered to run the club bar.  A position he held for 6 seasons even while attending Uni in Bendigo.

In 1996 he took on the role as Secretary for 3 seasons before moving into the Presidents role for 3 years in 2010.  He returned as President again in 2020, a position he continues to hold.  Which makes him the clubs longest serving President.

Apart from roles on the committe, Rohan played a large role in relocating the clubs facillities from Tatura Park to Howley oval.  In particular organising the funding, design and building of the training facilities.

Between stints as President Rohan also contributed to the juniors of the club by running Milo Cricket for 3 seasons and coaching the U12s for another 3 seasons.  While serving as the junior co-ordinator.

The clubs history dating back to 1880 was penned by Rohan and published into a book and launched in 2002 to coincide with the clubs first ever reunion.  The reunion was organised by Rohan and Alan Lanyon.

Rohans' favourite cricket memories are:

Playing a full season with his father.

Playing several games with his sons.

Playing in senior and junior premierships.

   Friendships made via cricket

Card games in the old social rooms.

Growing up while playing cricket with great role models such as Trevor Downie, Robert

Wildes and Andy Crawford amongst others.
