James Pyke

James (Jim) started playing cricket in the late 1980s playing all his junior and senior cricket with Tatura.

School and work took him away for a few years before returning and becoming involved both on and off field.

​

Jim is always willing to contribute to the club in any way asked.  He has performed many roles for the club over a long period.  

​

On the fundraising side he has been front and centre in regards to hosting the Melbourne Cup Calcuttas for over 10 years, several Cricket Club balls and Commedian nights.  He is also our Sponsorship coordinator which is an invaluable role he has held for 10 years.

 

However the role of hosting the Hitack event for over 20 years can not be underestimated.  The Hitack is the social and fundraising highlight of the year.  Jim manages to maximise the financial and social benefits of the event in a way that ensures a packed house every year.

Outside of his hosting talents Jim has also served as President for four years and supported the juniors by coaching at all age group levels from Woolworths Blast right through to the U16s winning several premierships along the way.
